This morning woke up to a beautiful clear day as evidenced by the pictures. After our tour of the Tetons from different angles, Belle and I walked around downtown Jackson. I was on a mission to find a piercing establishment. I decided I wanted to have my nose re-pierced as I took my piercing out when I got my job with the feds (which as you all know, no longer exists). In my quest, I found only one establishment. I found it odd as this town caters to Harley riders. I walked into a tatoo parlor only to find out that the only "piercer" in town had flaked out and the proprieter is to leave tomorrow for "piercing school." That's when I had an epiphany (spelling?) - I'm selling all my worldly goods (which isn't much) and moving to Jackson and opening up a piercing salon. That is not the only draw to this beautiful place - they have drive-up liquor, you can have your children ride in the back of pickup trucks legally, and I'm assuming there's not an open container law here. Heaven!!!! Anyone want to invest in my new venture?
Still have not had a shower. Thank god I'm only with a dog. She loves it. Tomorrow I leave for Yellowstone and I made reservations to stay within the park where there will be flushing toilets and a shower. I will never take flushing toilets and showers for granted. Have had a lot of small conversations with many people; mostly due to Belle. Everyone thinks she is so cute and she's being such a good girl (besides chewing on my air mattress and putting a hole in it).
Hope all is well for everyone. I'm off to Yellowstone for 3 days. I'll keep posting.

MOM!! you are so funny. its good to see your sever since of sarcasm hasn't left since your trip off to the great outdoors!!! that still has me laughing!! i always knew belle found the right family but seeing the flyers of her lovely dog mates just confirms my thoughts! the pictures are amazing. i would have loved to see that hangglider and belle's reaction. i love you and wish i could be there with you. actually, thinking about it, i would rather be here taking long, hot, steamy showers and defecating in my lovely camode. haha... just kidding. but i love you and hopefully we can work something out so i can see you this month! love you and we are thinking about you always!
Val-maybe the no shower thing has something to do with the "small" conversations you are having with people (lol). Boy-if you don't have life all figured out by the time you leave the Tetons, I will be surprised! Better than therapy and Prozac it looks like to me..
My neighbor lived in Jackson for years so if you really want to do that, she would be a good resource. Piercing may not be very intellectually stimulating but you may meet some cool dudes :). All here is good-went for a 45 mile bike ride today and almost got caught in the daily monsoon..Rain everyday here in the big ABQ. I would rather be in the Tetons! Love you-be safe,
