Day 11 & 12 - Leaving Tetons and arriving in Yellowstone

Hi all,

For some reason, I can post my pictures for the last couple of days. Somehow I'll figure it out.

Anyway, I left the Tetons on Sunday morning. I stopped in town to do some shopping and as I was getting out of my car, the woman at the tanning salon who directed me to the non-existent piercing place, recognized me. I asked her why there were not more tatoo/piercing establishments in Jackson which seems to cater to Harleys. Apparently, and not surprising since it's Cheney territory, the right-wingers run these people out of town. So all of you who have been gathering money and loans to help me start my piercing business in Jackson, you can stop. Not a good idea in Wyoming. Bummer!!! I thought I had my vision quest.

I arrived in Yellowstone on Sunday mid-afternoon. I did a half day trip around the park that included the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Absolutely beautiful. Walked around both the north and south rims and took great pictures (which hopefully you will see soon). This was the beginning of caldrons and geysers. It feels almost prehistoric - waiting for a T-Rex or Raptor to run across the road. Got great shots of beautiful wild life, elk, deer, bison. Amazing.

Today, first thing in the morning (which I recommend if anyone every decides to come here), I saw Old Faithful erupt. Pretty spectacular. Old Faithful is situated in an area referred to as the Firehole area. There are more caldrons and geysers than you can imagine. They are erupting everywhere. Lots of gurgling, spewing, and boiling.

Michele, I hiked a hell of a long way to get pictures of the geyser entitled "Morning Glory" in honor of my bedroom at your house. Hopefully, you can use one of these pics to adorn my room.

Belle has been such a good girl. She sleeps in the car when I walk around various things. We stop periodically for walks and treats. She does have problems with all the squirrels!! Those pesky bastards!!!! I have lots of conversions with people because she's so cute!!!!

That's it for now. Tomorrow I leave toward Glacier National Park.

Keep up the comments.

Love you all,
Val

Hey Val I'm having trouble with this account blog thing -it doesn't recognize it. wtf? anyway I have to establish a new account every time. I'm looking forward to seeing the morning glory pics. Have you seen Yogi and Boo Boo yet? Are there smaller bidet type gysers? I thought something like that would come in handy when you can't shower. There's a job for a paralegal in the PI realm for a newer lawfirm. Thought u might be interested for UI purposes anyway. I went to the interview and it went well- say a prayer to St. Anne. PS my mom got married at St. Annes. Love ya Miche
