Left Flaming Gorge and headed to Colorado toward Ouray. Camped outside of Ouray in a state park. Woke up the next morning. Belle figured out how to open the tent and escaped. I don't keep Belle on a leash while in the tent, but she outsmarted me. I brewed my daily coffee hoping Belle would come back. In a few minutes, the Park Ranger pulls up with Belle in the back seat. She was arrested. I was given a verbal warning -- it it happened again, a $50 fine. We immediately left the area. Belle is now on the most wanted list in CO.
Drove into Albuquerque on Tuesday, 8/7. Had to go to my high school and UNM and get copies of my transcripts for an application I have placed with the City of Santa Fe Magistrate Court. I can't believe my high school transcript would mean anything to anybody. Actually, it's kinda embarrasing. My grades were not that great.
On Saturday, 8/11 - my brother's 60th birthday. I surprised him as he thought I was still on the road. Good party. It was good to see both my sisters, their kids and my brother and his family.
Belle and I will be leaving tomorrow for three weeks on the west coast. I'll keep everyone posted as to my travels.
